"100% chardonnay. Light straw in the glass with a superfine bead and mousse. Aromas of baked apple, fresh brioche and apple turnover, soft spice, dried meadow flowers, curd, sea spray and roasting nuts. Light biscuity tones join in on the palate with fine, lacy acidity, the wine showing some richness as it trails away slowly." - Dave Brookes, March 2025

A bright, intense and toasty expression, presumably with extended lees ageing to mitigate straight to Chardonnay's tensile acidity. Riffs on glazed quince and peach, with a sluice of yeast extract marking the effusive finish. A creamier, more obvious wine perhaps than the impressive Exceptionnelle.
